Title:
PRR 7157, EFS-17M, 1965
Description:
Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7157 and three more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #7157 is an EFS-17M road switcher constructed in October of 1957 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They're pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight train past WORKS Tower at the left. Note the three kinds of signals depicted here. (#41 of 44)
